Good memories

Dear Mom and Grand-Maman, You have been at the centre of our family for so many yearsalways welcoming us when we came for visits wherever you happened to be. You enjoyed the company of family so much and we know it meant so much to you. It was always so much fun having everyone together. We gathered for picnics, celebration of birthdays, anniversaries, and some holidays. We looked forward to your company so much. You loved to travel; remember the trips to Cuba and Prince Edward Island. On that trip we visited Chateau Richer where your ancestors arrived in Canada. How you loved the horses at the International Plowing Match in Finch. You walked so far that day in the heat. You loved a good bowl of chicken rice soup, stew, and your tea extra hot at the end of your meal. You would often come in the fall to make tourtires -. You and Rene would make the filling one day and the pastry the next filling several pies for the freezer and rest of family. You were always there when we needed support. You looked after Andre, who was not yet 2 and had endless energy, when Stephanie was born. He always wanted to be outside with our dog, Ben, or going for a walk with his red wagon. You kept up with him. And you were there for us when Andre passed in March 2007. Those moments meant so much to us. Right from the first day Denis introduced me to you when you lived on Levesque Street, you welcomed me into your family. We drove together in the old Chevy panel truck to Newfoundland for our wedding with a load of strawberries and our dog, Nony. Even though your English and my French allowed for little conversation, we had fun getting there. You had so many memorable expressions like OH YA in English. We enjoyed so many card games together. When it came to a party you were usual ready to dance and groove to the music. We will miss you but we will never forget you. You showed the importance of loving, caring, and sharing with one another and the importance of family. We love you so much. Denis Andre, Patricia and Stphanie
