Our licenced personnel is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to consult with family members in regards to arranging a funeral.

Professional Services

Professional services and administration ( required )
Services of a licensed funeral director to consult with family members for pre-need or at need funeral arrangements: obtaining all of the information needed to file required documents, scheduling with clergy, an organist, cemetery and / or crematorium, coroners, newspaper notices, etc. Also consists in a proportionate share of operating costs (taxes, licenses, utilities fees, insurance, staff salaries, etc.)

Transfer of the remains ( required )
Service of a licensed funeral director, availabe 24 hours a day, to organize and perform the transfer of the deceased from the place of passing (nursing home, private residence, hospice or hospital) to the funeral home.

Supervision of ceremonies ( required )
Services of a licensed funeral director to organize and oversee funeral services at church or in the Chapel.

Other preparations ( required )
Embalming is not required by law, however, if the deceased is not embalmed (ex: direct cremation, closed casket with chapel or church service, etcÂ…) sanitary care of the deceased is required to maintain certain health standards. In order to assure that dignity is always maintained, the deceased is dressed and shrouded regardless of services chosen.

Embalming-in addition to other preparations
Embalming is a chemical process that provides temporary preservation of the body and is performed by a licensed funeral director. This process includes washing, disinfecting, dressing, restoring, cosmetizing and casketing of a loved one. Normally this is done to present the body for open-casket viewing to the family and/or public. It may also be done to hold the deceased in a reasonable state for family from afar to arrive for services.

Use of parlour(s) for receiving family and friends; use of coffee lounge (coffee, tea, juice and water provided); funeral home personnel during visiting period (several hours, full day, etc.) to receive and place floral arrangements in the parlor; greet visitors, accept, on behalf of the family, donations and/or masses, etc..

Use of our chapel or church equipment
Includes the use of our chapel or use of church equipment such as the arc, church truck, pre-service set-ups, use of register stand, card holder, tables, easles, etc.

Use of parlour(s) to receive family and friends, use of coffee lounge (coffee, tea, juice and water provided), staff members to receive and place floral arrangements, direct visitors and accept, on behalf of the family, cheques for mass and/or donations.

Shelter of the deceased
An area, not accessible to the public and monitored by the Health Department providing dignified accommodation to the deceased for a reasonable amount of days prior to visitation, burial or cremation. (maximum of 10 days).

Documentation ( required )
Fee pertaining to the completion of required documents needed for registration of death, cremation and/or cemetery forms, clergy records, certified proof of death certificates (10 provided), etc...

Service vehicle
Vehicle used for transfer of the deceased from the funeral home (if not in procession) to the crematorium or cemetery

Transfer to funeral home
Vehicle for the transfer of the deceased to the funeral home from place of death (within City of Greater Sudbury)

Administration vehicle
Vehicle used to deliver and pick up medical death certificates, attend to City Hall for registration purposes and any additional trips related to documentation to comply to the family's request . Also used, at need, to attend and supervise the interment of cremated remains scheduled at a later date.

Funeral Coach
A custom built vehicle provided to transport the casketed remains to the church, cemetery or crematorium.

Director / clergy vehicle
Vehicle used to lead a funeral to church or cemetery; seating available for a clergy member and/or pallbearers.

Limousine
A custom built vehicle provided for family members on the day of the funeral for the purpose of having them travel together during the funeral procession to church and/or the cemetery and return them to the place of origin (maximum seven passengers)

Memorial cards (100)
With the help of a funeral director and a catalog of prayers, poems and pictures, a memorial/prayer card is prepared in memory of the beloved departed. (minimum of 100 cards per order)
